40MW Kajiado PV Project
40 MW Hannan Arya Solar Power Project in Isinya, Kajiado County demonstrates this approach. The project is situated on approximately 1,000 hectares of land owned by Hannan Arya Energy Limited and is located approximately 4.5 kilometres from the Isinya Substation. This combination of substantial land availability and proximity to existing grid infrastructure provides a strong foundation for developing a utility-scale solar generation facility.

200MW Umoja Solar Project, Laikipia
The Umoja Solar Project is a proposed large-scale solar photovoltaic development in Rumuruti area, Laikipia County, Kenya, aimed at harnessing the region's solar resource to generate clean electricity for the national power system. The project is envisaged as a 200 MW utility-scale solar power development and represents a significant renewable-energy opportunity in northern Kenya.

Counties Solar Street Lighting Project
The solar street lighting initiative is focused on supporting the decarbonization of urban and peri-urban road infrastructure in Kenya through the deployment of energy-efficient, stand-alone solar lighting systems. The project includes supply and installation of up to 200,00 solar PV panels, battery storage and high-efficiency LED lighting to provide reliable illumination without relying entirely on conventional grid electricity.

Smart-city infrastructure
The project proposed integration of lighting systems with centralized monitoring, remote fault detection, adaptive dimming and other smart-city technologies. It proposes the smart street-lighting programme covering approximately 100,000 lighting assets, including LED retrofits, new LED installations and a centralized management system.
